An Oregon man arrested on suspicion of carjacking and kidnapping a man at gunpoint and nearly carjacked a woman during a wild crime spree in Northern California, may also be linked to the death of a woman in Oregon, authorities said Tuesday.

Investigators have tentatively identified the woman found dead at the base of a seaside overlook Sunday morning, state police said. Detectives are also on the way to California to interview a suspect arrested on unrelated charges Monday night.

I was up at the Umpqua River Lighthouse to see if there was going to be a beautiful sunset...nope! Lots of thunderheads with a little rotating shelf cloud and finally, just a peek of sun and sunrays.

I was up at the Umpqua lighthouse taking photos this morning (12/18/2012) when I noticed a big red buoy awfully close to shore near the free beach access. Looks like it'll wash up on shore soon.
