Officials at Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center say that sometime during the night on Saturday, someone broke into the shelter, and four dogs were taken. Two of them were later found dead.

Last week, KPIC News warned you of an outbreak of Parvovirus, or Parvo, hitting dogs all across Douglas County. Now, an animal adopted out from the shelter had to be put down due to contracting the disease.

Sheriff's deputies seized 28 goats, a sheep and a horse after finding dead animals decomposing on the property and in animal barns, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. No charges have been filed against the owners.
