Press release Lane County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse is presenting a check in the amount of $2,200 to the Lane County 4-H Leaders Association Monday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Oregon State University Extension Service of Lane County, 950 West 13th Ave. The Lane Country Sheriff’s Mounted Posse provides...more night security around the barns and camping area during the annual 4-H Fair each summer, as a fundraiser and as a service to the 4-H Youth Program.  The Posse, traditionally, donates a portion of that income back to the 4-H Leaders Association.  This year, due to the economic climate and shortages that have affected the Lane County Youth program, the Sheriff’s Posse membership voted to return the full amount. The Posse supports wholesome activities for the youth of our area and believes that 4-H is a premier program that fills this need.
