The Sumerian people went from being nomads to living an agrarian lifestyle. “If you look at it another way," said James Book with Nikasi Brewing in Eugene, "you don’t have to be nomadic; you could park it on the couch and drink your beer.”

If you're just finishing up work on this Friday like I am and still looking for something to do, Last Friday Art Walk is going on tonight. You can download a handy map to plan your art trek here. I also saw a Facebook post from the folks over at Ninkasi that they are throwing a keg of Spring Reign...more on tap (we had sunshine this week and now Spring Reign, did winter end early?) and JP from Devour will be out with his yummy toasted sandwiches. They are open 'til 9 p.m. Most of the action takes place around the Whit, but a few of the locations are out of the neighborhood. They include Gary's Coffee on High Street near 5th Street Market and InkThirsty next to the WOW Hall (full disclosure: this is a shameless plug because one of InkThirsty's co-owners also works here at KVAL News) Happy art-walking! Check out Last Friday's Web site here.
