The next mountain bike movie night to benefit trails in Lane County is Saturday, Nov. 19, with a showing of "Women of Dirt."

"Women Of Dirt" is a unique look into the world of Downhill Racing, Dirt Jumping and Freeriding. This film looks through the eyes of the wondrous women that
...more have helped grow the sport of Gravity Mountain Biking with their strength and courage.

This movie night event is benefit for the Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards (GOATS) and the Disciples of Dirt (DoD) trail funds.

Both nonprofit organizations coordinate 1,000s of hours of volunteer time in trail maintenance and construction in the Lane County area.

The groups partner with Ninkasi Brewing and the Northwest Youth Corps to put on the events.

You can go see "Women of Dirt" on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The suggested donation is $10.

The event takes place at the Northwest Youth Corps Auditorium, 2621 Augusta Street, Eugene, OR

Ninkasi hosts the inaugural Boil N'Brew feast for food and beer lovers on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 5 p.m., presented in collaboration with Delecata.

Live music and raffle prizes will also be offered.

EUGENE, Ore. - The top of the grain silo at Ninkasi Brewing Company collapsed Thursday when suction created by grain being pulled down caused the top of the silo to cave in.

General manager Nikos Ridge said no one was hurt.

The damage did not disrupt beer production.

Ninkasi Brewing presented a check for more than $10,000 to the McKenzie River Trust on Saturday at the Whiteaker Block Party – with the funds representing all profits from the sale of Conservation Ale. Ninkasi, the Trust and the Eugene Water & Electric Board partnered to commemorate the utility’s...more century of service to the community while helping to support protection efforts for the McKenzie River with the May release of Conservation Ale. EWEB first approached Ninkasi in early 2011 about the possibility of collaborating on a beer to celebrate the utility’s 100th year of operation. Ninkasi officials liked the idea and took it a step further – suggesting that proceeds go to help protect the source of the No. 1 ingredient in its award-winning brews: Water from the McKenzie River.

Ninkasi Brewing in the Whiteaker neighboorhood of Eugene is holding an all-out food fight on Sunday: six local food carts will create dishes that highlight locally grown produce while Ninkasi pairs the dishes with one of their beers.
