It's been nearly 70 years since Elgen Long left Marshfield High School at age 15 to enlist in the Navy during World War II. On Tuesday, Long was back on the Marshfield stage to receive the diploma he didn't get the chance to get in 1944.

First Lt. Rick Rush, a 1998 graduate of Marshfield High School, was with six others on a convoy delivering supplies when they were hit by an improvised explosive device.  Rush has major injuries to his neck, spine and left leg, according to family.
