Brooke Wilberger’s remains were found on an abandoned logging road off Highway 20 about 12 miles west of Corvallis. The area was searched by volunteers when Wilberger first went missing in May 2004, but according to the district attorney her body was well hidden.

Brooke Wilberger disappeared May 24, 2004, from Corvallis, Ore. On Monday, Joel Patrick Courtney pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and was sentenced to prison for life without the possibility of release after telling investigators where to find Wilberger's body.
