A TV show made in Eastern Oregon that combines underground mining and paranormal investigations has been renewed for a second season. The show stars a father-son team from Cottage Grove.
The State Department confirmed that Gordon Lee Rowan of Oregon was killed at the Ain Amenas field in the Sahara. U.S. officials identified Texas resident Frederick Buttaccio as the first death last week.
"Ghost Mine" will air at 7 p.m. PST on the Syfy network. The new show combines both the ghost hunting for which Syfy is known — the network's roster of programs includes "Ghost Hunters," which airs directly prior to "Ghost Mine" on Jan. 16 — and mining.
