Dodie Throssel's dogs Gabriel and Serafina led searchers to her body on Tuesday. But as crews labored for hours to remove the Springfield woman's body from the forest, the male chow-wolf and female chow ran off.

Family and friends of a Springfield, Ore., woman found dead Tuesday after disappearing Saturday in the Willamette National Forest are mourning the loss.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the 54-year-old Springfield woman died from exposure, injury or another cause.

The Lane County Sheriff's Office says searchers found 54-year-old Dodie Throssel's body 2,200 feet away from her car. John Miller, with the LCSO, tells KVAL News the death does not appear to be suspicious.

LOWELL, Ore. - Crews continued to search for a mushroom hunter and her two dogs missing since Saturday in the Goodman Creek area southeast of Eugene, Ore.
Dodie Throssel, 54, of Springfield, Ore., was last seen Saturday afternoon.

No word yet on the whereabouts of a mushroom picker last seen Saturday afternoon near Highway 58 in Lowell.
The Lane County Sheriff's Office said Dodie Throssel, 54, was with two other people around 3 p.m. Saturday.
