LeGarrette Blount is back. The University of Oregon announced Monday morning that Blount would be available to play Saturday against Arizona State. Earlier Monday, Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott said he approved the request to reinstate the running back.

New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert was suspended Friday for her infractions the day before during a 1-0 loss to BYU. Video from the game shows her throwing elbows, colliding with several players and yanking a BYU player to ground by her ponytail.

The reports of Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli's demise were (apparently) greatly exaggerated. The whole drama — and Oregon seems to have had a lot of drama this season — was put to rest when Masoli ran for two scores and passed for another in Oregon's 43-19 victory at Washington.

Chip Kelly has made believers out of his Ducks. 'Win the day' is the phrase they live by. Truly taking is day by day. A 7-1 start and 5-0 record in the Pac-10, the Ducks are making a run for the Rose...more Bowl and that means it could be a November to remember. But Kelly and his team know the work has just begun.

One of the highlights from the visit by ESPN's College GameDay was Oregon head coach Chip Kelly surprising the crowd by coming out dressed as the Duck mascot. Kelly said he has a new found admiration for mascots.

Oregon coach Chip Kelly says there's nothing to report about the possible reinstatement of suspended running back LeGarrette Blount. Blount was suspended for punching Boise State defensive end Byron Hout in the aftermath of Oregon's season-opening loss to the Broncos.
